ZDP-189 steel is super hard, holds an edge and gets super sharp. Spyderco Knife Company has put flat ground ZDP-189 steel into their popular Ladybug frame, and has thereby created a fabulous lockback that fits safely in the bottom of your pocket or onto your keychain. Finally, because it is a Spyderco, you know it has all the features you want in a lockblade. You can see them at www.knifecenter.com

Miltner Adams The Incredible Self Locking Clip

Miltner Adams The Incredible Self Locking Clip
Miltner Adams The Incredible Self Locking Clip
Miltner-Adams have designed some of the most innovative knives we have ever seen. Now they are offering their very innovative stick-on pocket clip. It’s simple and very effective. I have one on my iphone case and love it. I also use one on my key ring and it works great. The principle is that there is a flexible ridge that, by default, springs to lock the clip onto the material. By depressing the surface, that ridge disappears and you can remove the clip. It works great and we think these will become very popular. They work as knife clips, if yours doesn’t have one, and for a myriad of other applications. They’re entirely made in the USA. Yopu can see them at www.knifecenter.com

Ontario Apache TAC-1 Folding Knife

Ontario Apache TAC1 Folding Knife
Ontario Apache TAC-1 Folding Knife
Ontario Knives makes a lot of combat knives and tools. Mostly, they feature combat fixed blade knives. However, they do make some awesome folders and we really like this new one, the TAC-1. It has a button locking system that works to release the knife from the open position. It looks like it could be an automatic, but this version is totally manual. It’s super light weight with a G10 handle that does not need liners and the texturing gives it a great feeling grip. The lockup is very solid. The blade shape is a little unusual in that it is very wide towards the handle and comes directly to the tip with a straight top and an angled “belly” on the cutting edge. The grind is a flat saber grind. All in all it seems very solid and lightweight and would be excellent in a combat situation. It’s also a great knife for every-day-carry. Benchmade A2 235 Paul Axial Gents Knife

Benchmade A2 235 Paul Axial Gents Knife
Benchmade A2 235 Paul Axial Gents Knife
Benchmade Knives now produce the Paul Knives. Paul Pocketknives are great and unique items that we have been admiring since the mid 1990’s when Gerber Knives was producing them. Lone Wolf Knives did a great job of manufacturing more varieties of Paul Knives than anyone and we think Benchmade Knives will do an even better job. The Benchmade A2 is a great, mid size model with a 2.58″ blade and a sheath for carry. The handle has very attractive Carbon Fiber scales. This is a classy pocketknife produced entirely in the US by Americans and we think they are reasonably priced as well. You can see this model at www.knifecenter.com
