Buck Nighthawk Bravo 4″ Besh Wedge Blade, Heavy Duty Rubberized Handle
Buck Knives has release another great, USA made new knife! This is the latest in the Nighthawk series of combat knives and features the innovative, Besh Wedge blade tip. This tip is part point, and part chisel and has been featured on the Buck Bravo combat folder series as well as the Boker Applegate combat fixed blade. This Nighthawk model is less than half the price of the Boker German made Applegate, however. The handle is much beefier than the Buck Nighthawks generally are and the blade is also thick. This is a hard-use type of fixed blade that would be at home in combat, out camping or in a survival mode. We like the overall quality ofthis knife and the design. You can see them at www.knifecenter.com

Boker Todd Begg Mach 2 Knife 3-3/16″ Fixed Blade
Posted August 13, 2009 by Howard

Boker Todd Begg Mach 2 Knife Fixed Blade
Boker Knives introduces the second in the series of fixed blades designed by Todd Begg. The Boker Kiridashi was a big hit and this Mach 2 promises to be as well. It feels great. The innovative style is a single piece of 440c stainless steel that is fitted with a piece of desert ironwood right where the handle fits into your palm. There is a slot in the steel above the wood which may lighten the knife up. The blade shape is a very popular one with a wide “knob” like end. These are made in Germany by Boker Knives.

Spyderco Manix 2 – Amazing Pocketknife

Spyderco Manix 2 Folding Powerhouse of a Pocketknife
Spyderco has really outdone themselves on this knife. The Manix2 is a powerhouse of a folder. It is medium sized – well that’s relative and most will find this a full size knife with a just under 3.5″ blade. The handle is G10 which is fully lined with polished stainless steel. The jimping (texturing) on the top and under part of the handle is “deluxe.” The pocket clip is also highly polished. The best part is really the overall “bulldog” sort of feel you get with this product. It is beefy and solidly built. On top of that they are fully made by Spyderco knives in the USA. Then, on top of that, they are priced at $82.95- at least for the introduction. You can see them at www.knifecenter.com

Boker’s New Limited Editions

Boker’s New Limited Editions
One thing that Boker does well is to build their German, conventional style folding knives. These two are old time standards from Boker. The BO2020Y folding hunter is a very old style and this one is really attractive with a bright yellow handle. At $44.95, this is a great deal and only a limited number were made. We have them at: www.knifecenter.com
The blade steel is typical high carbon (non stainless) that a lot of folks really like because they feel it is easy to sharpen.
The BO2002GOLD is a really unusual model that will appeal to all the Boker collectors out there. The 200x series is a real steady seller but this one has an unusual color bone handle and a gold plated blade! The prices of these new offerings are really reasonable.
