Condor Tool & Knife Garuda Fixed Blade

Condor Knife & Tool Garuda Fixed Blade

If you’re looking for a decently made, economical all around camp knife that’s rugged, well built, as well as visually appealing – look no further than the Garuda by Condor Tool & Knife. Designed by Joe Flowers, an outdoorsman from North Carolina, this knife is tough enough to do it all. This is an economically priced, large fixed blade. Don’t look for perfection in every curve, but it is well made and sturdy. The 5″ 1075 high carbon steel blade is epoxy powder coated to assist in corrosion resistance and full tang for added strength. The Micarta handles are oversized for use with gloves or for those with larger hands and it is nicely curved and contoured to fit the hand excellently. It comes with a very sharp convex grind and ballistic nylon sheath that can be attached to your belt or MOLLE gear no problem. Boker JTN "Join the Navy" Tactical Fixed Blade

This is a very well designed, high quality new combat knife from Jesper Voxnaes and Boker. It’s constructed from one solid piece of N690BO stainless steel with a beautiful stonewashed finish. The handle is contoured canvas Micarta with holes drilled through it allowing for the knife to be easily attached to a stick for a homemade spear. Spyderco Nilakka Folding Pukko Design

Spyderco Nilakka Folding Pukko Design

The latest addition to the Spyderco line is the folding Puukko design by Pekka Tuominen, the Nilakka, and what a cool knife this is. Based off the successful Spydero FB28WDP Puukko and adapted for the folding knife enthusiast, the Nilakka is unlike any other knife in your collection. The squared off G10 handle is robust, comfortable in the hand and will not rip up your pockets. The knife buries deeply, opens smoothly and locks up tightlyas with all Spydercos. What makes the Nilakka unique is the zero grind it incorporates all the way down the blade to the cutting edge. There is not a separate bevel on the edge, which makes resharpening the knife more difficult but this kind of grind is unparalleled in slicing performance. You can find this unique folding knife at www.knifecenter.com.

The Cold Steel Survival Edge is One Useful Tool

The Cold Steel Survival Edge is One Useful Tool

Just in at the KnifeCenter is the really cool, high-value Survival Edge from Cold Steel. It’s a light duty bushcrafting design excellent for any utility task performed around the camp site. If you’re familiar with Mora of Sweden Knives, the Survival Edge is a very similar design with many more capabilities. The Secure-Ex sheath clips easily onto your belt and comes attached with a Ferrocerium fire steel to match the handle color. The 5″ mirror polished blade is made from German 4116 Stainless Steel which, according to Cold Steel, performs better than 420 and 440 series steels while providing improved corrosion resistance. What sets the Survival Edge apart is the extremely rigid, hollow handle design. With an internal length of three inches and diameter of one inch, there’s ample storage space for any small fishing, safety, or survival items. With a reasonably ergonomic handle, dual finger guard, and rubber O-rings for a secure grip, the Survival Edge is one useful tool and can be found at www.knifecenter.com.

AITOR Tactical Survival Knives and More!

AITOR Tactical Survival Knives and More

AITOR is a Spanish knife manufacturer produced under the brand Pielcu and they’re producing some fine quality, excellent designs at reasonable prices. They gravitate toward supplying the true survivalist but AITOR also makes one of the coolest tactical blades we’ve seen in the Oso Negro. It’s reminiscent of a Rambo style bowie knife but with a generous re-curve to the blade and extremely functional saw teeth on the spine. In fact all the survival designs with these same saw teeth are extremely sharp and bite really well for improved cutting performance. Sheaths on the AITOR survival knives are equipped with a small survival pack in a hidden compartment which generally include fishing and sewing kits, scalpel, compass, latex tubes (which can also attach to legs on the sheath to be used as a slingshot for hunting), and many other items depending on the particular model. They make camping utensils and other utility folding knives that are simple designs and good values for their overall quality. Check out the all the AITOR models at www.knifecenter.com.

The White River Now Runs Through the KnifeCenter

The White River Now Runs Through the KnifeCenter

White River Knife & Tool was a new brand from Michigan that we discovered at the Blade Show in Atlanta this past month. They are producing some extremely high quality, functional knife designs and we knew they were a brand we had to offer to you guys. We chose to go with their cross-over Izula style knife, the Backpacker, and their small utility neck knife, the Knucklehead, thinking these models a pretty good representation of their overall brand. What sets White River Knives apart from the competition is that they’re machining all of these in-house from one solid piece of S30V. This stainless steel, from Crucible Materials Company, was the first steel specifically formulated to be used in knife making. Prized for it’s superior edge holding capabilities and corrosion resistance, CPM S30V will perform as well as your 1095 Carbon steel camp knives but rust at a fraction of the rate, even without the coating. All White River Knives come with a handmade Kydex sheath, an attached lanyard, and can be found at www.knifecenter.com.

Bad Blood Knives are Wicked!

Bad Blood Knives are Wicked!

Sean Kendrick, an accomplished custom knife maker, is the brain behind the muscle with these extra hard use tactical knives. The Bad Blood line from Hallmark Cutlery is a collaboration series based off custom designs by Kendrick. These are some seriously stout tactical folders with impressively thick blades, though not too thick that it would inhibit slicing. The folders feature thick G10 scales, full steel liners for strength, functional jimping and finger choils to lock the knife in place. The fixed blade designs are reminiscent of Mercworx knives with their beefy blades and beautifully contoured handles. They come with molded Kydex sheaths and brightly colored handle spacers to complete the package. These are excellent tactical or camp knives at bargain prices, see for yourself today at www.knifecenter.com.

AITOR is a new brand for us here at the KnifeCenter, all the way from Spain. The Castor knife is a folding everyday carry slipjoint in a typical Spanish style. The carbon steel leaf shaped blade is full flat ground, reminiscent of many Spydercos, which makes it a superb slicer. The handles are beautiful Bubinga wood, functionally designed, and contoured for an excellent fit in the hand. Available in three sizes, each knife is designed exactly the same, only about 0.4″ difference in the blade length.
