NITECORE Flashlights now at the KnifeCenter
Posted May 15, 2013 by Nick
A good flashlight is an invaluable tool, especially when you happen to have it with you at all times. With some of these new NITECORE designs, you’d be in the minority if you didn’t carry it with you everywhere you went. NITECORE is among the cutting edge brands when it comes to compact and tactical flashlights putting out crazy high lumens. Some would even argue they are the industry leader in that category and for good reason. The new Tiny Monster lights are the most compact designs on the market that have a maximum output over 2000 lumens. The Multi-Task series of lights are awesome, general/tactical use lights with all the features you need and are also available as Hybrid models that come with a USB charging cable and rechargeable batteries from the manufacturer. The Explorer and SENS series are EDC lights meant to be with you wherever you go and the Precise P25 model is among the best all-round lights on the market. You really can’t beat a good flashlight, check out the entire line of NITECORE products at www.knifecenter.com.

New Benchmade Barrage Model 586
Posted May 3, 2013 by Nick
The Barrage was Benchmade’s first ever AXIS lock model to incorporate an assisted opening mechanism and it’s continued to be a very popular design, even four years later. The model 581 was introduced in 2011 with the same specifications as the model 580 but with some nice material upgrades. The FRN handle was changed to G10 with stainless steel bolsters and the blade steel was upgraded to M390 super steel, providing a much better using steel while losing little of the stainless qualities 154CM steel provides. Now, in 2013 you can get the Mini Barrage with the same upgrades as the model 581 – the new 586. They’ve got 2.91″ drop point blades with either a nice stonewashed finish or the black BK2 coating. You can’t go wrong with any Benchmade design but if assisted openers are your thing, then the new model 586 is a superior EDC choice. Check it out at www.knifecenter.com.

Mantis Vuja De Balisong Karambit
Posted April 25, 2013 by Nick
The Mantis Vuja De is finally here at the KnifeCenter and what a cool knife this is! The butterfly karambit – many people thought it couldn’t be done but the genius behind Mantis and QTRM5TR Knives, Jared West, has pulled it off and executed it well. It features a very cool and effective button that locks the knife in both the open and closed positions. It’s not really designed for practicing your flipping tricks as the lock automatically engages when the knife becomes completely open. It could flip smoother, like a Benchmade 51 or 62, and it could be a little sharper like an Emerson Karambit but it really is nothing like those other knives. It’s in a class all its own with a 2″ M-VX steel hawkbill blade and 7″ overall profile including the rear finger hole so you’ll never have the problem of guessing which one the safety handle is again. Karambits are tactical, defense specific tools and the Vuja De by Mantis Knives is no different, plus it has the cool added feature of being a Bali-Song flipper. Check it out at www.knifecenter.com.

Mushroom Knives!
Posted March 29, 2013 by Howard
Mushroom Knives at KnifeCenter of the InterNet
The Knifecenter of the InterNet specializes in offering all types of knives to you. We don’t limit ourselves to combat knives or imported knives, because we have been the number one resource for knives on the internet since the beginning of the World Wide Web in the early 1990′s and we have been expanding ever since. So we have been offering mushroom knives for years, now and we recently got in a new variety from Maserin in Italy. The Italians and French seem to produce mushroom knives we suppose because gathering up the wild fungi is more popular over there. We don’t encourage the random sampling of mushrooms as there are many poisonous varieties that can actually kill you. It’s important to be careful and learn the good varieties before you venture forth. However, if you are in the mushroom gathering mood, the proper knife can help you in trimming them off and brushing them off so that you don’t have to take home all the soil that they grow in. Some of the mushroom knives we offer have measuring scales and most have brushes. We think these are an interesting product and hope you always are careful in the picking of mushrooms and have the proper tool! You can see the variety at www.knifecenter.com
