New Custom Knives

New Custom Knives

We went to the BLADE Show a couple weekends ago and picked up some amazing one-of-a-kind pieces. We were able to forge relationships with a number of new custom and mid-tech designers with some of the best products and reputations in the industry. From Mikkel Willumsen, David Curtiss, and Butch Ball, to Tim Britton, Anthony Griffin, and Duane Dwyer of Strider Knives, we’ve got some special pieces in here now and hopefully more to come. Most of these are one-off pieces but if you would like a specific model in a special configuration, please contact us via customer service support and we will get into contact with you to hash out the details. We’re very excited to bring these custom pieces to you, hope you are as well. Stay sharp! www.knifecenter.com

Columbia River K280TXP Ken Onion Hi Jinx

Columbia River K280TXP Ken Onion Hi Jinx
It’s a “rip and tear your way out of a bad situations” sort of beautiful. And that’s exactly how Ken Onion designed it. The Hi-Jinx is a gentleman’s beast of burden blade with all the classical curves and subtle elegance that has become the anthem of Ken Onion knife design. With a sand blasted 6AL4V titanium handle and premium Sleipner blade steel, satin drop point blade that is flat ground and measures nearly a quarter inch thick along the spine. The Hi-Jinx™ is made in Maniago, Italy with centuries of knife-making expertise milled into the scalloped handles. The blade opens with a flipper and includes an IKBS™ ball bearing pivot system that facilitates fast and smooth opening. A titanium frame lock seals this knife in the open position like a bank safe and a lock overdraft protection is built into the ornamental pivot to avoid overextending the lock. The stainless steel pocket clip is reversible for left or right handed tip up carry and is designed to sit deep in the pocket. Ken Onion designed the Hi Jinx™ knife to stroll comfortably into a business meeting with all the confidence and beefy brawn necessary to cut a hole through the wall for a fast getaway– should the need arise. Pro-Tech TR-3 Integrity Damascus Folder

Pro-Tech 7721DAM TR-3

Pro-Tech TR-3 Integrity Damascus Folder

The TR-3 is one of only a handful of manual action knives Pro-Tech manufactures and it’s a shame there aren’t more. This is an ideal tactical and EDC choice, though many would consider it a “Safe Queen” – meaning it will only beautify your storage collection. What a shame that would be as well. Not only is this one good looking knife but it’s built to some extremely tight tolerances and has some very well thought-out features. A nicely contoured handle with superb jimping locks the knife into your hand and an adequate cut-out makes using the single thumb stud a breeze. I’ts a flow though design with a very cool looking frame lock. There isn’t much Titanium removed when laser-cutting the lock which makes for a better wearing, as well as better looking lock. An extremely functional drop point blade, blue anodized accents and pocket clip, and of course the Damascus blade make this knife a beautiful folder limited to only 40 pieces. DPx Gear HEST/F Limited Edition Folder

DPx Gear HEST/F Limited Edition Folder
This is a well made and well engineered folding pocketknife that will serve you well and last decades if not generations. The KnifeCenter likes the DPx products in general and this folder in particular. Each knife is numbered xxx/250 so you will know which one you received. The Niolox steel is well thought of in the knife collector community with a high wear resistance and sharpenability. The handle material is G10 – a common and effective material for its lightness and toughness, and titanium for the locking side. This is a common handle configuration in the knife industry and it really gives a great combination of utility and strength of lock. The titanium side of the handle has a piece that literally flexes over towards the blade so that, in the open position, it rests against the base of the blade locking it open. Simply moving it out of the way with your thumb allows the blade to close. It is a very strong lock when open and very easy to release to close. The pocket clip is designed for deep pocket carry. There is a pointed tungsten carbide glass breaking piece at the tail end of the handle as well. All in all, this is a real classic that you should consider adding to your collection or your pocket!
