KA-BAR Big Brother Fighting Utility Knives
Ka-Bar Knives have been a fixture on the world combat knife stage since WWII. They’ve steadily expanded their offerings and now they are offering “super-sized” versions of two of their best sellers. These are monster combat knives with 9-1/2″ long blades and they’ve added a long sharpened and serrated section on the top of the blade for extra utility. These are a great idea! You can see both models at www.knifecenter.com
Here is the description of the KA2211 Black Blade and Handle Combat Knife from Ka-Bar:
It’s tough to argue with the success of the world’s most recognizable, time-tested fixed-blade knife so KA-BAR did what any smart company would do, they didn’t change the original design, they expanded upon it.
The high-carbon, non-reflective black blade is epoxy powder-coated and tests prove the finish is more durable than ever. The classic oval shape of the original KA-BAR remains and has been modernized with a material nearly impervious to sweat, chemicals, water and wear, Kraton G.
This is the “Big Brother” to the standard Ka-Bar 1211 combat knife. It’s huge! It has a blade that is just over 9-1/2″ and an overall length of 14-1/8″ Ka-Bar has an honored history: During WWII a legend was born, as several companies were asked by the U.S. Government to help supply troops with combat/utility knives. KA-BAR stepped up to the challenge and their reputation became so strong that all who are familiar with this knife refer to any of its kind simply as the “KA-BAR”. The world’s most famous fixed-blade knife is still doing its job, with honors, almost 70 years later. This “big brother” series of oversized combat knives promises to serve our citizens in new ways. It can dig, chop, stab and perform a myriad of chores with ease.
