Tom Krein Pocket Bowie Knife from Boker

Boker and Tom Krein Pocket Bowie Knife
New Pocket Bowie Knife from Boker and Tom Krein!

When we first heard about the Pocket Bowie, we were skeptical. One of the defining features of a Bowie knife is the large blade. What would a Bowie be, we wondered, without the size? But the new Pocket Bowie from Boker and Tom Krein has made believers out of us. The shaving sharp 2 1/2″ blade is small enough to be hidden under your shirt as a neck knife, but it feels like a larger knife. Maybe it is just the attitude that this knife has in comparison to other neck knives, but the spirit of the Bowie knife clearly surges beneath the steel of this blade.

The distinct Bowie blade is coupled with a very grippy G-10 handle. A tight, Tek-Lok compatible Kydex sheath completes the ensemble.

Ontario Signature Extra Thick Fixed Blades Limited Edition

Ontario Signature Extra Thick Fixed Blades Limited Edition
New, Extra Thick Bush Knives from Ontario!

The RD-6 and Afghan Bush Signature fixed blade series from Ontario features styles similar to the Ontario Ranger Bush series with one important difference: The blades are extra thick. These blades are 0.375″ thick S7 steel, making them quite a bit heavier than your typical knife. However, the thickness of the blade makes these great for unusual jobs. These are great for everyday camp jobs, such as splitting firewood, and they also make a great emergency axe or hammer in a pinch, while still performing ably as heavy duty knives.

The differences between the RD-6 and the Afghan are that the RD-6 has a 6″ clip point blade in a Bowie knife style and a pommel for hammering, while the Afghan has a somewhat shorter 4.438″ drop point blade and no pommel. Both come in either orange G10 handles with a black Micarta accent, or black Micarta handles with an orange G10 accent.

These are extremely limited, and every blade is numbered. So get yours today, before they are all gone!

Wrangler Knives

Wrangler Knives
Hand made knives made in the American West tradition.
We liked this series as soon as we saw them. They’re made in Asia, but they are done right. The blades are hand ground and may are limited in production. The Coffin Bowie is amazing in polished stainless steel and still for sale at $74.95! The Small Indian Knife is a great deal at $65.95 and has a crude, hand ground blade of 1095 carbon steel and beautiful beaded sheath. They really have a hand made feel and look. The beaded sheaths are all unique and so a particular design cannot be ordered.

Bear and Son Gold Rush Bowies
Ahhh…the long road of the old Western Bowie. First it was made by Western States Cutlery, and then Coleman-Western, then it was a Camillus product, now it has made its home with the fine folks at Bear & Son Cutlery. Still made in the USA-Jacksonville, Alabama to be specific-this is a Bowie that has stood the test of time. For their introduction of it into their line they have produced a standard model as well as one with a beautiful ladder damascus blade.
