Columbia River Ikoma Sampa IKBS Fast Folding Knife
Columbia River Knife and Tool offers a lot of innovative pocketknife products and gadgets. Flavio Ikoma is the designer behind the hottest technology top reach the knife industry in several years- the IKBS ball bearing system that makes the pivot of the knife literally roll on ball bearings. The system has been adopted by a slew of custom knife makers and now, by one of the largest of the production knife companies. The SAMPA is the first model in mass production of this great system and it is spectacular. The knife really flies open running strictly on the ball bearings and it doesn’t need the assistance of a spring in any way.

Benchmade Aphid Folding Knives
We remember the Aphid series and we liked them a lot. These new ones are nicer, though, with a great assisted opening mechanism. Not sure why Benchmade picked the name Aphid for this knife—especially after reading about Aphids on Wikipedia. Ladybugs are a natural predator of Aphids… don’t anyone tell Spyderco. All of that silliness aside, this is a very cool little assisted opening gentleman’s tactical. We like the style, the size, the opening action, and the price. We’re just not so sure about the name…

We are proud to announce that Columbia River Knife and Tool has delivered to us the great Carson Designed M-4 assisted opening pocketknife with all three handles. We now have this great folding pocketknife in Stag, Wood and White Bone.
Kit Carson is a remarkable custom knife maker who has some of the world’s greatest pocketknife designs to his credit. The Columbia River Knife and Tool M-16 folding combat knife is one of the best selling knives of all time. Columbia River has also released the M-04 series and we think it is more of the gentleman’s folding knife than the M-16, but they are all well designed and well made.
Gerber Slate Assisted Folding Knives with Implements
Gerber Knives has created a new player in the “all in one” handy pocketknife. This fast opening folding pocketknife also has two screw drivers and a bottle opener on it. The great thing about these folding knives is that the extra tools don’t add extra thickness to the piece. These pocketknives are handy and inexpensive and reasonably well made.

Kershaw Limited Edition Random Leek with 14C28N Steel Blade
The Kershaw Leek is one of the best selling models of all time. The random Leek has an inverted tanto style blade and is often brought out in limited editions. This latest model features a special new steel developed by Sandvik exclusively for Kershaw knives. Kershaw says, “This quality chromium steel provides excellent hardness, as well as corrosion and wear resistance.” We, at the KnifeCenter, haven’t tested the material ourselves and so can only pass on the information we have gathered.

Kershaw RAM Flipper Hawk-Lock® 3-1/8″ Blade
Kershaw has a slew of fast opening knives, most of them assisted. Lately, though, they have introduced a bunch of non assisted openers that are still fast, like the Junkyard Dog, Lahar, and Grooves. This model is touted as being the very fastest of the non assisted openers. We like it.
