Hardcore Hardware Australia in the House!

Hardcore Hardware Australia in the House!

The tides of the fixed blade knife are a-changing and Hardcore Hardware Australia is riding that wave and doing it very well. These days people are flocking to the larger, bulkier knives that have a multitude of uses beyond cutting. They want to be able to chop, pry, split, saw, dig, hammer, break, etc. from a single tool that they always have at their side. Much like Mercworx, Robson RPW, and Medford Knives, these are meant for battlefield use and hard use at that. All blades and tactical axes are made from Teflon coated D2 tool steel and measure at least 6 mm thick. This gives you peace of mind that Hardcore Hardware knives can handle what needs to be done, even if not intended to do so. Fit and finish is right up there with Spartan Blades when it comes to fixed knives, they are just perfectly ground, honed, and assembled to give you a tool that will last years. Check out this newest bomb proof line of knives at www.knifecenter.com.

The Mad Blacksmith Arrives at the KnifeCenter

The Mad Blacksmith Arrives at the KnifeCenter

The Mad Blacksmith, better known as Jared West, has a distinct style unlike any other. From his knife designs to his other far out products, you will find a cool new item you know you need but never thought would be a reality. The City Dweller Pen Lanyards are just that sort of item. The idea is to disguise the fact that you have a knife by attaching a lanyard with a 2-1/2″ piece resembling a pen. The execution is the key here and these well done products function exactly as designed. Tie the 550 paracord through the lanyard hole, clip it in the pocket and it’ll be nearly impossible to tell you’ve got a knife on you at all. The Mad Blacksmith stands up for your rights to carry a knife without unwarranted attention or accusation. Check out these bold new lanyards at www.knifecenter.com.

New Svord Hog Beater and EDC Fixed Blade

New Svord Hog Beater and EDC Fixed Blade

You may think this picture of these new Svord items is a joke but by no means does it even do justice to the shear vastness of the Hog Beater and the compact size of the EDC fixed blade, an excellent alternative to the Izula. The Hog Beater is a hunting dagger with a whopping 11-1/4″ double edge blade, convex sharpened as all Svord knives are. The hardwood handle and black leather belt sheath make for a very good looking package on this devastating hunting design. The EDC fixed blade is 6-1/8″ overall with a 3″ blade and orange cord wrapped handle. The package gets a nice style upgrade with the brown leather sheath which makes the design feel like it’s double the price and belongs at your side at all times. The only drawback to the knife design is that the finger cutout is a little shallow so your index finger is at risk of running onto the blade while stabbing. All Svord knives are made from high quality Swedish carbon steel and convex ground for a sharp, durable edge for all cutting tasks. You can see the new Svord designs at www.knifecenter.com.

The White River Now Runs Through the KnifeCenter

The White River Now Runs Through the KnifeCenter

White River Knife & Tool was a new brand from Michigan that we discovered at the Blade Show in Atlanta this past month. They are producing some extremely high quality, functional knife designs and we knew they were a brand we had to offer to you guys. We chose to go with their cross-over Izula style knife, the Backpacker, and their small utility neck knife, the Knucklehead, thinking these models a pretty good representation of their overall brand. What sets White River Knives apart from the competition is that they’re machining all of these in-house from one solid piece of S30V. This stainless steel, from Crucible Materials Company, was the first steel specifically formulated to be used in knife making. Prized for it’s superior edge holding capabilities and corrosion resistance, CPM S30V will perform as well as your 1095 Carbon steel camp knives but rust at a fraction of the rate, even without the coating. All White River Knives come with a handmade Kydex sheath, an attached lanyard, and can be found at www.knifecenter.com.

Columbia River Ed Van Hoy Biotac Knife Harness

Columbia River Ed Hoy Biotac Knife Harness
Columbia River Ed Van Hoy Biotac Knife Harness

The Biotac knife harness, designed by Ed Van Hoy and produced by Columbia River, will change the way you carry your fixed blade knives. Particularly great for neck knives, the Biotac allows you to position your knife comfortably in six basic inverted positions, and it is fully adjustable so that you can position it the way you like. The Biotac requires a positive locking sheath, with a snap or detent to hold the knife securely, because of the inverted carry. It works great for both open and concealed carry.

New Survival Kit from Dajo

Dajo Survivor Knife
New Survivor Knife from Dajo

The Dajo Survivor knife is a full, if minimalist, survival kit at a great price. The sharp, wide blade can be used for everything from shaving a branch for tinder to skinning caught animals for food. The notch on the back of the blade is designed to be used as a striker for the Swedish FireSteel that is included, and the cutouts in the handle are designed to allow for the blade to be used as the head of a spear, while at the same time lowering how much weight the kit ads to your pack. Rounding off the kit is the survival whistle, which can be used in an emergency to draw search teams to your location without using up your voice and energy.

At $29.95, this is a must have knife for the survivalist on a budget. Also a great gift for the aspiring survivalist.
