Recently anointed the Best Imported Knife of 2012 at the Blade Show in Atlanta, the CRKT Foresight has now arrived at the KnifeCenter. This truly is a robust tactical folder with a 3.5″ Titanium-Nitride coated AUS 8 blade, available with or without serrations. The handle is extremely well contoured, anodized aluminum to provide a firm hold on the knife in both the forward and reverse grips. The added finger grooves are identical on both sides so both righties and lefties can get an extremely comfortable grip for hard use cutting. Featuring the Ikoma Korth Bearing System (IKBS), you might think this knife is an assisted model as it flies open so fast. It’s just that silky-smooth. The clip is quite strong and carries deeply in the pocket but is only situated for tip down, right hand carry. This is actually a safety feature of the design to minimize the chances of the blade opening when it’s entering or exiting your pocket. An extremely stout folding knife design, the Foresight is a great tactical blade that is perfectly designed to be a large EDC folder as well. You can find this new brilliant Ken Onion knife at www.knifecenter.com.

New one of a kind knives from Chris Reeve! When it comes to production knives, Chris Reeve stands alone atop the mountain. He has made many innovations and collaborated on designs that have forever changed our industry. He is the father of the one-piece knife concept, with his original model MK IV, the chief innovator of the Reeve Integral Lock, commonly referred to as a Frame lock, and was even crucial to the development of S30V stainless steel. He worked alongside the Crucible Materials Company to develop the first steel specifically designed for the cutlery industry. The various inlays, CNC machined graphics on the handle scales or beautiful Devin Thomas Damascus steels can make your production knife one of a kind. If you don’t love Chris Reeve Knives, then you probably haven’t handled one – they’re that awesome. White River Knife & Tool was a new brand from Michigan that we discovered at the Blade Show in Atlanta this past month. They are producing some extremely high quality, functional knife designs and we knew they were a brand we had to offer to you guys. We chose to go with their cross-over Izula style knife, the Backpacker, and their small utility neck knife, the Knucklehead, thinking these models a pretty good representation of their overall brand. What sets White River Knives apart from the competition is that they’re machining all of these in-house from one solid piece of S30V. This stainless steel, from Crucible Materials Company, was the first steel specifically formulated to be used in knife making. Prized for it’s superior edge holding capabilities and corrosion resistance, CPM S30V will perform as well as your 1095 Carbon steel camp knives but rust at a fraction of the rate, even without the coating. All White River Knives come with a handmade Kydex sheath, an attached lanyard, and can be found at www.knifecenter.com.

DPx Gear, in partner with Italian knife manufacturer LionSteel, is doing some amazing things with their excellently designed HEST Folder. After almost a year of field use gathering opinions, suggestions, and modification ideas, DPX Gear has come out with their Triple Black special edition folder with some serious tactical improvements. The main complaint about their original folder by soldiers serving all over the world was that it just wasn’t tactical enough. The knife lacked serrations and the Titanium lock side and clip were too darn visible and with this simple idea at heart, the new HEST T3 was born. The knife now comes with a tactical black G10 handle scale, a PVD-coated Titanium lockbar, and is free of any discernible markings on the blade or clip. This allows for the knife to disappear into the night and with the sharp biting serrations, it’s possibly the perfect combat theater tool. Another awesome new feature of the Triple Black T3 folder is that the skull shaped adjustment tool now incorporates a built in compass. For it to function correctly, the tool had to be made from a non-magnetic alloy and what better for this than Titanium. Adjust your tactical tool with style and be sure to get yours before they’re gone forever, strictly limited to 500 production pieces. You can find this stout, tactical folder at www.knifecenter.com.

The design my be quirky and unfamiliar to most but in no way does that mean that it’s an inferior tool. In the case of the new Zero Tolerance 0750 assisted folder, the unique blade and handle shape actually make it a superior knife for many different applications. Designed to be especially useful for draw cuts and in the reverse grip, the talon shaped S30V blade is an absolutely ferocious cutter. The reverse curved handle is surprisingly comfortable to use normally but it really shines in the reverse grip, locking into the hand very tightly. This makes this knife a superb last ditch tactical defense weapon for more powerful slash cuts and you can find it at www.knifecenter.com.

Sean Kendrick, an accomplished custom knife maker, is the brain behind the muscle with these extra hard use tactical knives. The Bad Blood line from Hallmark Cutlery is a collaboration series based off custom designs by Kendrick. These are some seriously stout tactical folders with impressively thick blades, though not too thick that it would inhibit slicing. The folders feature thick G10 scales, full steel liners for strength, functional jimping and finger choils to lock the knife in place. The fixed blade designs are reminiscent of Mercworx knives with their beefy blades and beautifully contoured handles. They come with molded Kydex sheaths and brightly colored handle spacers to complete the package. These are excellent tactical or camp knives at bargain prices, see for yourself today at www.knifecenter.com.
Todd Begg is a custom knife maker and former NBC Recon team member. His inspiration is drawn from his vast life experience and knife designers Edmund Davidson and TM Dowel. The Field Marshal is Boker Plus‘ production version of a custom design by Begg. The handle is the first thing you notice when pulling the knife from it’s packaging and then it’s the excellent quality. The 5-1/8″ G10 handle is extremely thick with solid liners and is very nicely shaped for hard use cutting. The 3-3/4″ 440C blade can be opened with the milled thumb slots or the flipper and it’s excellently shaped to stab, slice, or for roll cuts. An excellent design with a superb lifetime warranty, see this knife right now at www.knifecenter.com.
