Spyderco Endura Folders

Spyderco’s Endura folding knives need no introduction considering their impressive pedigree. These perennial favorites are known for their slim and lightweight build, and their ample size makes them a perfect fit for people with larger hands. For a very reasonable price, you’re getting a robust folder with great steel that comes in a variety of handles, blades, and materials.

Gerber LST Folders

Lightweight performance was the goal when the LST was developed by Gerber in the 80’s, and these two folders definitely fulfill that ambition. The LST has a lockback design that weighs in at a mere 1.2 ounces. Want to go even lighter? The Ultralight is only 0.6 ounces. These easy-carry USA-made folding knives are a steal at under twenty bucks each.

Benchmade Bushcrafter Fixed Blade

When you look at the Bushcrafter 162 from Benchmade, you’ll see some features you usually find in custom knives. Its high ground premium S30V blade and contoured G10 scales make this fixed blade a high quality knife that performs like a true beast.

Camillus Les Stroud Signature Series Survival Kits

We can’t name all 25 essential items that come in the Survival Kit from Camillus Knives here  – the list is simply too extensive. The 18-piece kit isn’t any easier. Both include matches, a whistle, a compass, a fire starter, a stainless lockable pot, and more.

Schrade Uncle Henry Series Fixed Blades

Who doesn’t love a classic? Our selection of Schrade’s Uncle Henry fixed blades has your next hunting knife, and you’ll love the old school style that makes them true collectibles. Each one has a stag horn handle, a solid full-tang construction, and a high end D2 steel blade. There’s even a gut hook model if you want more precision when skinning your well earned game.

Condor Tool & Knife Axes and Hatchets

You can identify a traditional Condor axe by its hickory handle, high carbon steel, and Condor Classic finish. Our offerings also include variations that have Micarta or paracord-wrapped handles, just in case you want a little diversity in your Condor collection. No matter which one you choose, you’re getting a quality survival tool that is a must-have for your next camping trip.

Borka Blades Custom SBK Folders and Light Fixed Blades

Few knives we saw at the show are more recognizable than the new SBK/F Folder from Borka Blades. This folding knife is styled after Sebastijan Berenji’s signature fixed blade and is the same size as the Mini Stitch, which makes it perfect for both everyday carry and tactical applications.

Michael Raymond Custom Galaxis Folder

Anyone familiar with Michael Raymond knows the extreme precision and attention to detail that go into each of his knives – and this Galaxis model is no exception. It features a beautiful jigged titanium frame and pocket clip, as well as one of the smoothest and most precise openings on the market.  Michael Raymond’s knives are extremely difficult to come by (this is the only one we’ve ever had), so if you’re a fan you better act fast!

Jeremy Horton Custom Survival Shorties

Jeremy Horton is known in the industry for his signature blade grind and Survival Shorty fixed blade. Coming in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, each SS model is a perfect expression of Jeremy’s no-nonsense style and his elite skill behind a grinding wheel.

New Gavko Custom Folding Knives

It’s like Shark Week all year round in the Gavko Knife Shop as Michal’s always discovering and producing new Shark models. The Nurse and the Snubnose Shrunk Trasher are two of his newest creations and both are beautiful examples of the truly unique style that sets Gavko Knives apart from all the rest. We’ve already sold the Snubnose, but the Nurse flipper (pictured) is still up for grabs!

John Gray Tracker Dan Bloodshark Flipper

The Bloodshark, designed by Tracker Dan and manufactured by John Gray, is built for discreet concealed carry and real world combat. We were lucky enough to get our hands on one flipper from John at the show, and it’s an incredible knife with a litany of distinct tactical features and some seriously sick flipping action.

Brad Zinker Ultra-Thin Flippers

Brad Zinker Knives brings a whole new dimension to the EDC game, redefining how easily knives can be carried. When they are this thin, they absolutely disappear in the pocket.  A bonus of this slim design is that some of these compact folders can also double as a really cool money clip.

Kurt Merriken Custom Knives

Kurt Merriken is a new maker for us, and we’re very excited to be able to showcase a couple of his knives. This full-time firefighter from Florida spends much of his free time grinding away, specifically on unusually large frame lock folders.  We picked up two very different yet equally impressive pieces from Kurt at the show: one elegant full dress dagger with a 4” blade and a behemoth cleaver style knife that could likely break down a whole chicken in a matter of seconds.

What pieces have you pumped? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to share this blog with your friends who appreciate a custom masterpiece. If you’re looking to buy a knife from the show before they’re snatched up, check out our collection of all ECCKS custom knives. Don’t forget to let us know what you’d like to see us post next!

Ten Items To Up Your EDC Game

At KnifeCenter, we have a pretty unique way of getting to know people. We don’t take them out to dinner or quiz them about their favorite hobbies or interests – we always ask to see their everyday carry first. A person’s EDC says a lot about them, whether they realize it or not. If they’re outdoorsy and active, you may see a load bearing carabiner or a water-resistant wallet. A frequent partier will probably have a pretty nifty bottle opener on hand, or a hands-on person may have a Leatherman or some kind of multi-tool they use to tackle tasks on the go.

If your current EDC is a little lackluster, don’t worry – KnifeCenter has you covered. We’re the original and largest online catalog of cutlery, and that includes the best and most useful selection of EDC items that will definitely tell the world what an awesome person you are.

  1.  The Wallet Ninja 18-In-1 Multi-Tool

This functional tool is the size of a credit card and will slide right in your wallet. It’s a bottle opener, a screwdriver, a can opener, a cell phone stand, a ruler, and more all in one. It’s also TSA-approved, meaning you’ll have a trusty sidekick when it comes time to plan your next trip. Its heat treated black stainless steel is guaranteed to never rust or bend, so your $9.95 is going to go a long way.

  1. Chris Reeve Leather Wallet

Speaking of wallets, when was the last time you bought one? This semi-custom leather wallet from Chris Reeve Knives has a simple design we love. It has two compartments to separate your cash from your credit cards, and its sturdy calfskin leather construction makes it worth the price. If you’re looking for all-weather performance, check out this Maxpedition CMC Wallet – its water and abrasion-resistant nylon fabric makes it a great wallet for outdoor use.

  1. A Tactical Pen

Everyone should have a pen handy, and it’s even better if that pen doubles as a self-defense tool. We love the way these pens write, and they’re tools that we encourage you (and your loved ones) to have within easy reach. These tactical pens are a great bargain that could potentially be a life-saver – it’s better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!

  1. A Rite in the Rain Pocket Notebook

Just as they say you should always keep a notepad by the phone, you should probably try to keep one in your pocket. Your cell phone is more than likely your current go-to memo pad, but it’s always wise to have a backup – especially one that gives great all-weather performance and has a nonabsorbent cover.

  1.  A Uniquely-Designed Victorinox Swiss Army Knife

Almost everyone has heard of a Swiss Army Knife – it’s a great multi-tool that comes with several integrated utensils. A few common tools you’ll see on this type of knife are scissors, tweezers, nail files, and a plain or serrated blade. We love the fact that this collection of Victorinox Swiss Army Knives sports fun and creative designs that were chosen from social media submissions from all around the world.

  1. Leatherman Skeletool

Maybe you’re thinking, “I don’t need a multi-tool, I already have a Swiss Army Knife”. Well then, maybe it’s time to up your game and go Leatherman. Their stainless steel Skeletool can handle tougher tasks than some Swiss Army Knives thanks to their built in pliers and wire cutters. We offer a huge collection of models with different tool options – you can even go with a smaller version like the Leatherman Micra Keychain Mini, which will help you save a little bit of money while still delivering the same great quality performance.

  1. A Zippo Lighter

Why choose a Zippo over a traditional gas station lighter? It’s a tool you will be able to keep refilling and reusing, their windproof line comes with a lifetime guarantee so you can get it repaired for free, and they come in a vast range of distinctive designs and patterns.

  1. Kershaw Dividend Flipper Knife

The Dividend from Kershaw is a slim, sleek knife that makes it an ideal candidate for an EDC. The design was inspired by Kershaw’s Link Series, but was created to be a more compact version. It has a stainless steel drop point blade that makes it an efficient slicing tool and an easy SpeedSafe assisted opening mechanism. If you’re looking for an EDC knife that’s both handsome and handy, you’ve found your glass slipper.

  1. CRKT Squid Folding Knife

CRKT’s Squid Folding Knife was designed specifically to be a great EDC – it’s compact, it weighs in at mere 3.4 ounces, and it’s very reasonably priced. This knife has a deep pocket clip that will give you a discreet and safe carry and sports an attractive stonewashed finish. If you’re someone who likes to put their EDC to work, this knife may be a great option due to its price – at $19.95, you can afford to give it some tough love without fear. Did we mention it comes in black?

  1. Spyderco Delica Folding Knife

Spyderco’s Delica is an EDC workhorse, and we have a pretty expansive collection that has a wide variety of vibrant handles and top quality blade finishes. There’s a reason why the Delica is one of Spyderco’s best selling knives.

In the end, every person is different and will create their own EDC that works for them and fits their personality. These are just ten of the many things that would be useful (and potentially life-saving) to have in your pocket or purse. Tell us what you would add to this list – follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram so you can tag us with your favorite EDC and tell us why it should make our next list. Don’t forget to share this blog with your friends and let us know what list you’d like to see next!
