Reate Tribute
Reate has been on a bit of a front-flipper kick lately, and their latest design—the Tribute—is their best yet. The silhouette recalls old-fashioned pocket knife patterns like the Sodbuster, but the materials and execution are as modern as it gets: M390 steel, Zirconium bolsters, carbon fiber scales, and a sculpted titanium pocket clip.
In hand, the combination of these materials really sings. The deployment action is addicting, and the knife is ready to go to work. It’s a simple design, elevated to the peak of modern knife performance.

Cheburkov Workshop Russian
The last new items blog featured knives from Cheburkov Workshop, but they all sold out shortly after being posted, so I thought it’d be worth calling out that we received another small shipment of knives from the brand.
There’s a reason they don’t stay in stock for long: Cheburkov Workshop makes some of the most finely-tuned production knives in the world. The price point is high, but legitimately a good value when compared to other knives of this caliber. The knife pictured here—dubbed the Russian—has green or maroon carbon fiber scales and a formidable 3.8” M390 blade with a keen, consistent edge for superior cutting performance.

WE Knife Black Void Opus
Keeping the front flipper theme going, the Black Void Opus is one of the coolest new knives from WE Knives all year long! It’s hard to find a true chisel grind on a folder, but this new arrival —designed by Justin Lundquist—makes it tempting to give it a try.
At a distance the knife has a clean, minimalist look, but there’s actually quite a lot of complexity going on. Between the chisel-ground blade, the carbon fiber inlays, inset liner lock, and handle contouring, the design really rewards a closer look! The 20CV blade is only sharpened on one side, with an asymmetrical swedge on the other side to give the whole knife a subtle twisted look.
Justin knows how to design a front flipper, and the action here is particularly good: thanks to some clever handle geometry and a well-textured flipper tab, you can flick it like a lighter or slowly roll it open with your thumb or index finger.
