2nd Generation Out the Front Opening Assisted Knives
The OTF models from Schrade and Smith and Wesson have been incredibly popular. They are really inexpensive and very impressive. This new 2nd generation is even nicer with a mechanism that is smoother, more reliable and a safety that is more intuitive.
Kershaw Knives Limited Edition Tyrade Assisted Opener with G-10 Handles
The Kershaw Tyrade is a very cool knife. The standard model Tyrade pocketknife is, however, a little pricey. That’s why we’re glad to see this model released with a more basic construction and at really reasonable price. Unfortunately, this is a limited run from Kershaw Knives, so grab one of these while they are available because they will be gone soon.
G10 handle slabs and a slightly less decorative blade finish and style allow this pocket knife to be marketed at a lower price point.

Benchmade Aphid™ Assisted Blade Small Liner Locks
The first Red Class from Benchmade made in USA. These are nicely designed, small knives with a great, easy to carry build. The dual thumb studes sit kind of close to the body of the handle, but they are usable. The fully lined plastic handles have holes for reversing the side of the pocket clip. These are nice, small knives that you can easily keep in the bottom of your pocket or clipped on. www.knifecenter.com has them available
Only the plain edge satin model has arrived so far. The first batch has “First Production run xx/1000” on the blade but we cannot promise one of these unless you call. Order right away, though, and you have a good chance at one.

Smith and Wesson Expand the 911 Rescue Knives
One of the original rescue knives, the SW911 was designed by Blackie Collins many years ago. It always had a spring activated glass breaker. The two new models still have that glass breaker, but have assisted opening blades as well. Plus they are updated with sturdier construction, a safety and much better overall fit and finish.
